Social Justice and Allyship

I believe that working to support all students and staff - especially those who are marginalized or under-represented - is an essential part of this job.  I am committed to fighting for more just and equitable outcomes in STEM, on campus, and in the world more broadly.  If you need an ally, I am here to listen.

In the past, I have advocated for students facing sexual harassment in electrical engineering.  I have helped launch a new approach to first-year education that leads to more equitable outcomes in student retention.  I have participated in a number of discussions on retaining non-traditional students in STEM fields and closing equity gaps in STEM with a data-driven approach.  I fully support all LGBTQIA students.

If you want to talk, I am here to listen.  You can reach me at [email protected].
